TikTok Drink Recipes You Need to Try

TikTok has turned many users into amateur baristas and at-home chefs. Try these TikTok drink recipes for some fun beverage options at home

September 6, 2020

TikTok has taken over so many of our lives. Whether you’re practicing viral dances in the mirror, trying out new recipes or refining your skin care routine, the app has something for everyone. It’s safe to say we’ve all stumbled upon a fun new recipe, added it to our favorites and then never found it again.

Many are familiar with the viral TikTok “Starbucks drink” you can order in-store (ask for a strawberry açaí refresher with three scoops of strawberries and three scoops of berries blended). Instead of bringing ideas for made-to-order drinks, we curated some of the best drink recipes you can make at home with some ingredients you can get delivered from Gopuff. Go ahead and get into it as your own barista!

1. Whipped Coffee

Source: Feel Good Foodie

In March, whipped coffee TikToks went viral on the platform, with hundreds of thousands of users posting videos trying out the recipe. It spanned across social networks, with celebrities and other influencers showing off their homemade drinks on Instagram and Twitter. The recipe originates from Korean dalgona coffee, but Greece has a similar version: the frappe. While it looks like a super-fancy barista made it, you can actually make this in your own kitchen—all you need is a few ingredients and a whisk! You’ll be addicted in no time.

2. Frozen Vodka Raspberry Lemonade

This easy frozen alcoholic drink recipe is the perfect refreshing slushy for laying by the pool, sitting in the shade or even spending the night at home. The trick is freezing all your non-alcoholic ingredients (even the lemonade!) before blending to give it a slushy texture. You can also make a non-alcoholic version of this recipe and substitute vodka out for another liquid like juice or even a splash of water to help the frozen ingredients blend.

  • Lemonade

  • Vodka

  • Frozen raspberries (or any other frozen berry of choice)

  • Lemons for garnish (optional)

3. Pink Drink

The Starbucks Pink Drink (or Pinkity Drinkity as famous makeup guru and YouTuber James Charles calls it) has been a staple on trendy TikTok for a while now. It used to be one of Starbucks’ secret menu items, but the drink became so widely popular that it’s now a fixture on the coffee shop’s featured menu, thanks to Charles and his fanbase. Of course, TikTokers found a way to make a Pink Drink, but in the comfort of their own homes! There are plenty of variations of this drink recipe, including a shaken mixture of Ocean Spray juice, milk and sliced strawberries. Try them all out and see which one you like best.

What You’ll Need:

  • Sliced strawberries (fresh, frozen or dried)

  • Tazo Iced Passion Herbal Tea Concentrate

  • Starbucks Very Berry Hibiscus Instant Refresher packet

  • Coconut milk (can substitute for other milk of choice)

4. Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino

Another Starbucks cult favorite, this double chocolate chip frappuccino recipe made its way to TikTok thanks to some creative baristas-at-heart. It’s a little more in-depth than the other recipes, but all you have to do is throw a few extra ingredients in the blender and double blend for the perfect copycat frap!

The best part is that you can customize it to your own liking or add different ingredients to change up the flavor. Pro tip: if you’re trying out a few recipes, add some of those leftover strawberries from the Pink Drink recipe to make a chocolate-covered strawberry frap!

5. Whipped Matcha Latte

The whipped matcha latte is what fluffy, caffeinated dreams are made of. If you’re not fond of coffee, matcha is a great alternative to provide you with the earthy caffeine you need to fuel your day, no matter what’s on the agenda. This recipe is similar to whipped coffee with a few extra steps, like adding egg whites for stiff peaks. Some TikTok users make whipped matcha without the egg whites for a more dense, less fluffy option.
