After just two years serving the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, we opened our 17th local micro-fulfillment center in the area! In that same time period, we’ve hired some 150+ employees and added 15+ local brands to our platform, including Poppi, The Good Jerky, and Deep Ellum Brewing. To celebrate this milestone, Gopuff partnered with DeMarcus Lawrence and Tyrone Crawford to surprise and delight locals!
To celebrate our 17th micro-fulfillment center launch, Gopuff made a contribution to Dallas’ Wilkinson Center, which transforms the lives of Dallas families by providing pathways to self-sufficiency with dignity and respect, helping families face critical life challenges including food insecurity, lack of education, economic instability, unemployment and underemployment. The organization has seen record demand during the pandemic, and Gopuff contributed to the Center’s Stock up for Summer Campaign to support children who are losing access to daily meals as a result of school closures for the summer. Last week, Dallas football stars DeMarcus Lawrence and Tyrone Crawford presented a check from Gopuff for $25K to the Wilkinson Center, along with a commitment to donate all Gopuff food that would otherwise be wasted through the end of the year. The Wilkinson Center was an obvious choice for this donation, as DeMarcus Lawrence and Tyrone Crawford have interacted with organizations with similar missions of helping feed our youth in times of struggle.
To keep the magic going, DeMarcus Lawrence and Tyrone Crawford made a surprise delivery to one lucky Gopuff customer in Dallas. The lucky customer received $2K in Gopuff credits, home game tickets, autographed jerseys from DeMarcus and Tyrone, and a year’s supply of Texas-favorite, Blue Bell Ice Cream.
Thank you Dallas-Fort Worth for an amazing two years — we look forward to continuing to deliver for you and to connecting with this vibrant community.
