Fresh crushed citrus & real vodka, it's basically a vacation in a can. Our neighbors in Maryland, just to the north of our Virginia distillery, are known for smashing this signature cocktail on the shore all summer long! We craft this one with real vodka, fresh orange juice, and lemon lime flavors. Not much can beat a bushel of crabs from the Bay with a fresh-crushed, citrus cocktail. Add in a few vacation days, and an “out of office” message, and you're on your way to a nice little shore-cation!

Derived from the recipes of medieval Germanic brewers, our Black Lager embodies a millennium of refinement. Schwarzbier (literally: black beer) originates from eastern Germany and is a window into pre-modern brewing. Medieval brewers browned barley over open flames; today we get the characteristically subtle roasted flavor by using the finest toasted malts. Dry. Tangerine. Effervescent. These words don't really pop in your head when you think of beer, but then again, there's nothing quite like Bright Tangerine Sparkling Ale. This brew is low calorie, gluten removed, with a dry and bubbly finish. The kicker is we load it up with heaps of natural tangerine flavor, making it a little brighter than your average ale!

The thing about bucks are, they're big, strong, and they make their presence felt. That notion sorta inspired us to brew Eight Point IPA, the first beer we ever brewed at Devils Backbone. It's got a nice hoppy presence but is approachable. It's gold, medium-bodied, and made with four malts, plus brash American hop varieties like Bravo, Columbus, Cascade, Amarillo, and Centennial. We don't have any proof that a buck would like it, but we're pretty sure they'd respect it. We're inspired by traditional brewing styles, but you'll notice we might throw in a tasteful left turn here or there.

Calling all hop lovers out there! This Imperial IPA is for you. It's called Sixteen Point because, well it's pretty obvious we doubled the hops of our Eight Point IPA, right? Anywho. When you combine five imported malts with loud American hops like Cascade, Bravo, Citra, Columbus, Centennial, and Simcoe you get this honey-colored, full-bodied juggernaut of a beer. Hoppy, resin, and herbal.

There are a lot of fruited malt beverages out there, but not many are craft. Hibiscus Hard Lemonade changes that. The lemon taste comes from…lemons. Specifically, Meyer lemon juice and lemon zest. Plus, we crafted it up a notch with Lemondrop hops, Belgian candy sugar, and hibiscus — a popular herbal tea. Oh, and it's low calorie and gluten free. Win win.

While Gold Leaf is on the lighter side, it takes five weeks to perfect this traditional German-style lager. An homage to the days when beers were made 100% from malted barley, Gold Leaf is brewed with four European malts tempered with a touch of three imported hops. Plus, it's got subtle bready notes. And since it's not super hoppy or dark, this beer doesn't hide any flavor inconsistencies. That just keeps us honest.

This IPA has double the hops of Devils Backbone's 8 Point, resulting in its gorgeous honey-colored hue with a full-bodied finish. You'll find it to be delightfully hoppy with herbal and resin notes.
