Gopuff Named as Official Partner for London’s The O2 arena, Bringing Instant Delivery to Live Entertainment and Enhancing Experiences for Both Fans and Entertainers
Deal strengthens the partnership between AEG and the Instant Commerce pioneer, following Gopuff’s sponsorship of Accor Arena in Paris
The O2, the world’s most popular music, entertainment and leisure venue, today announces a multi-year partnership with Gopuff, the Instant Commerce pioneer, who has been named as The O2’s Principal Partner and Official Grocery, Food and Beverage Delivery Partner. Through the multi-year deal, brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, Gopuff will integrate directly into The O2 event experience, delivering food and other essential items within the venue, as well as offering unique VIP experiences, access to tickets, and more.
Fans visiting the venue can now bypass concession lines through rapid click-and-collect services in The O2 app powered by Gopuff. Additionally, to kick off the partnership, customers across the UK can enter to win seats in Gopuff’s VIP suite with unbeatable views of the stage, a private bar and more, for an upcoming event just by purchasing select products on Gopuff. The “Treats for VIP Seats” campaign will be available throughout 2022.
In addition to creating seamless and memorable experiences for millions of people, Gopuff will also provide the world-renowned artists who perform at The O2 with instant access to their performance essentials whilst onsite. Tapping into its large selection of quality products, Gopuff will make backstage deliveries directly to select artists and tour production, helping them prepare for each event. Through the partnership, Gopuff will be accessible to The O2’s eight million annual visitors and reach a mass audience through The O2’s digital media, out-of-home advertising and activation channels.
Gopuff, which created the instant commerce category in 2013, has recently expanded its presence throughout the UK and Europe, and now delivers to customers across more than 20 UK cities and throughout France. Its partnership with The O2 furthers its relationship with AEG, as Gopuff was announced as the official instant commerce partner for Accor Arena in Paris earlier this year.
It is set to be a big year for The O2. As well as celebrating the venue’s 15th birthday this month, the arena will host over 200 events from some of the best UK and international artists including Little Mix, Billie Eilish, Queen + Adam Lambert, Kings of Leon and lots more.
