Brother's Bond was founded by actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley in 2020. The name "Brother's Bond" is meant to symbolize the friendship and camaraderie between the two founders, who met while working on the pop-cultural phenomenon TV show known as "The Vampire Diaries." The show captivated audiences around the world, making it one of the most popular supernatural television shows of all time. According to the founders, the idea for the brand came while they were filming, discussing their shared love for bourbon and their desire to create a brand that would reflect their personal values and experiences. They wanted to create a bourbon that was not only high-quality but also represented the bond they share as friends. The name "Brother's Bond" reflects their strong relationship, as well as their commitment to supporting each other and their fans. The brand's logo features the mighty oak tree depicted with the mash bill ingredients interwoven into its trunk. At the base of the oak tree, two brothers sit, enjoying the shade and planning their next adventure. The oak is the magical natural element that transforms the distilled spirit into whiskey. Birds flying in and out of the tree represent their commitment to maintaining a sustainable natural environment. After several years of research and development of hand-selecting bourbon barrels and then experimenting until they came up with a final mash bill blend that had immediate approachability and complexity that would appeal to new drinkers and existing whiskey drinkers. In 2021, the first Brother's Bond bourbon whiskey release is known for its approachable, complex, and high-quality flavor profile. The bourbon is a proprietary four-grain, high-rye mash bill (65% corn, 22%% rye, 13% wheat & barley) and is aged in virgin charred oak barrels for at least four years. The result is a rich, flavorful bourbon with notes of banana bread, dried fruit, walnuts, and warm spices.
