These are good quality farmed mussels, semi-prepared. You just need to bring to the boil in your favourite broth... what does that contain? White wine, blue cheese, garlic, tomato? Definitely some onion. Ever tried ginger?
THEY MIGHT NOT OPEN! but don't be alarmed. Live mussels open when you cook them because they are trying to cool down. Our mussels are defintely dead so can't feel the heat. some will open, but not all. BUT THEY'RE PASTEURISED AND 100% SAFE. A flick with a blunt knife will open those that stay closed. Remember that frozen mussels were cooked and frozen straight out of the water so they have not had to survive for 5-10 days.
